Dr. Ravitz has twenty-five years of experience in the evaluation and treatment of children and adolescents with psychiatric disorders. He is Director of the Psychiatry and the Law Service and Associate Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the NYU School of Medicine. Dr. Ravitz has exceptional expertise in child custody evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and pharmacology. He has conducted approximately 400 court ordered custody evaluations over the last twenty years.
Dr. Ravitz earned his M.D. and M.S. in Pharmacology from Michigan State University. He is co-author of two books: Legal and Mental Health Perspectives on Child Custody Law: A Deskbook for Judges and Mental Health Aspects of Custody Law.
