Anna Kerlek, M.D.

Anna Kerlek, M.D. is Chief Resident of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the NYU Child Study Center. In addition, Dr. Kerlek is in her final year of the Psychodynamic Psychotherapy of Children and Adolescents at the Psychoanalytic Institute affiliated with NYU School of Medicine.

Dr. Kerlek received her B.S. in psychobiology from the University of Miami and her M.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She completed her general psychiatry residency training at the NYU School of Medicine. During this time she taught medical students in both the Psychiatric Interviewing Seminar and Psychopharmacology Small Group Series. Dr. Kerlek has completed the Buprenorphine in the Treatment of Opioid Dependence Course with license to prescribe as well as having trained to be a consultant in the Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program (PREP).

Dr. Kerlek is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, where she is now a Resident Member on their Committee on Collaboration with Medical Professionals. She has been elected into membership of both Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and Phi Beta Kappa Society.
