Charles J. Glawe, MD is the medical director of the Bellevue Hospital Center - ACS Mental Health Service where he provides diagnostic and medication management services for children and adolescents in the Pre-Placement Center of the Administration for Children's Services. Dr. Glawe is also the attending psychiatrist for the Bellevue Child Psychiatric Emergency Service where he provides diagnostic and emergency services for children and adolescents in the Bellevue Hospital Child Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program. Dr. Glawe teaches and supervises resident physicians and medical students at NYU School of Medicine and works in private practice in Manhattan.
Dr. Glawe is board certified in both general and child and adolescent psychiatry. Dr. Glawe received his bachelor's degree Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. He received his medical degree from the University of Illinois in Chicago. Dr. Glawe completed his psychiatry residency at the NYU School of Medicine and child and adolescent psychiatry training at the Child Study Center at NYULMC and Bellevue Hospital Center where he was chief resident.
Dr. Glawe is a member of both the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
