Marianne Chai, M.D. is a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Resident at the NYU Child Study Center. Her clinical interests are in utilizing and developing integrated treatment strategies (rooted in expressive and creative arts therapy, psychoanalysis, and family therapy) to improve the treatment of substance abuse, mood disorders, and anxiety.

Dr. Chai received her B.A. from Barnard College and her M.D. from the University of Miami School of Medicine. She completed her residency training in general psychiatry here at the NYU School of Medicine. Prior to joining the NYU Child Study Center, Dr. Chai treated college students at the NYU counseling center and taught medical students a course in clinical interviewing.

Dr. Chai is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
