Esther Kim, MD, is a resident in child and adolescent psychiatry at the Child Study Center at NYU Langone Medical Center. Her clinical interests lie in cross-cultural issues; treatment of trauma; school consultation; public advocacy; pharmacological management; and psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, and family therapies.
Dr. Kim received her bachelor's degree in business economics and graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Brown University. While in Providence, Rhode Island, she co-founded the Korean Adoptee Mentoring Program for Korean adoptees and their American families. She received her medical degree from NYU School of Medicine. Dr. Kim completed her general psychiatry residency at the NYU School of Medicine.
Dr. Kim is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
