Frank Tedeschi, M.S., M.D., is a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Resident at the NYU Child Study Center. Dr. Tedeschi’s interests include adolescent forensic psychiatry, neuropsychiatry, and psychopharmacology.
Dr. Tedeschi received his B.A. in psychology and his B.S. in neuroscience from New York University’s College of Arts and Science in 2001. Following this, he earned an M.S. in biomedical sciences at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey’s (UMDNJ) Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and received his M.D. from UMDNJ. Dr. Tedeschi completed his residency training in adult psychiatry at the NYU School of Medicine, where he served as Chief Resident. He was also involved in the teaching of second year medical students, serving as a group leader in their patient interviewing class.
Following his undergraduate education, he was able to pursue research in basic neuroscience at the NYU Center for Neural Science. While a resident, Dr. Tedeschi was involved in a study examining the effect of Ziprasidone on metabolic markers in patients with diabetes and chronic schizophrenia. He has also worked in the Bellevue CPEP and on the Bellevue Forensic Psychiatric unit.
Dr. Tedeschi is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Medical Association, as well as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society (2005 to the present).
