Jennifer L. Herring, MA

Clinical Psychology Intern

Specialty Areas: Cognitive Behavior Therapy; Dialectical Behavior Therapy; Stress, Trauma and Resilience; Substance Abuse; Anxiety and Mood Disorders.

Jennifer Herring is a clinical psychology intern and serves on clinical staff of both the Child Study Center and Bellevue Hospital where she conducts initial evaluations, neuropsychological evaluations, and provides ongoing treatment through a number of our services. Her clinical interests include providing cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, and trauma-focused services to children and adolescents.

Ms. Herring is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in clinical psychology at St. John's University. She is currently working on her dissertation, The Effectiveness of a School-Based Grief-Focused Group Intervention for Bereaved Youth in the Urban Setting. Ms. Herring earned her bachelor's degree in psychology, cum laude, from Duke University.

Ms. Herring is a member of the American Psychological Association and Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies. Ms. Herring has presented her research at several professional organizations including the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies and the World Congress of Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies.
