Denise Cascio, PsyD, is a neuropsychologist in the Institute for Learning and Academic Achievement at the Child Study Center's New Jersey office. She conducts neuropsychological and educational evaluations for children and teenagers and provides remediation and skills training for children with learning disabilities and attention disorders.
Dr. Cascio received her bachelor's degree in psychology at Loyola University in Baltimore and completed her master's degree in general psychology at New York University. Dr. Cascio returned to Loyola University in Baltimore where she earned her doctoral degree in clinical psychology. She completed an internship at the Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation and two years of specialized postdoctoral training in pediatric neuropsychology at the Child Study Center at NYULMC.
Dr. Cascio has written book reviews and presented at conferences related to learning disabilities and school intervention; formal publications include a chapter on Spina Bifida and hydrocephalus in the book Children with Complex Medical Issues in Schools. She continues to be involved in research related to the impact of learning disabilities and attention disorders on social functioning.
She is a member of the New York Neuropsychology Group, New York State Psychological Association, and American Psychological Association.
