Dr. Masia-Warner specializes in the evaluation and treatment of Anxiety Disorders in children and adolescents. She is Associate Director of our Anita Saltz Institute for Anxiety and Mood Disorders and Associate Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Psychiatry, and Pediatrics at the NYU School of Medicine. Dr. Masia-Warner has developed innovative treatments for Anxiety and works closely with pediatricians and schools. Her work is the first of its kind and she is well-known for leading the field in entering into community settings to improve access to treatment for children with Anxiety Disorders.
Dr. Masia-Warner earned PhD and MA in clinical psychology from West Virginia University. She completed a two-year Post-Doctoral research fellowship in the Department of Child Psychiatry at Columbia University, New York State Psychiatric Institute. She is a member of the Association for Advancement of Behavior Therapy, the American Psychological Association, Anxiety Disorders Association of America, and the International Society of Research in Child and Adolescent Psychopathology.
