Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by delayed or atypical behavior in two domains: social interaction and communication, and restricted interests and repetitive behaviors. Children and adolescents with ASD also have high rates of co-occurring ADHD, anxiety, and other medical and behavior disorders. Research shows that early diagnosis and appropriate treatments leads to improvements in language, social skills, challenging behavior, and co-occurring conditions. The Child Study Center works with your child and family to create an individualized, comprehensive treatment plan with strategies and supports for both home and school.
