Our Clinical Services

The Child Study Center (CSC) at NYU Langone Medical Center offers a wide range of mental health services for children, adolescents, young adults and families in the New York metropolitan area, as well as nationally and internationally. Our multidisciplinary team of child and adolescent mental health specialists provides state-of-the-art treatment for individuals and families who need help with psychological, psychiatric and learning disorders. The CSC is a model of how care should and can be delivered; we are a center for innovation in practice, training and outreach.

Our teams offer highly specialized evaluations, including:

  • Psychiatric Evaluation: This team of clinicians assesses the presence of emotional and behavioral difficulties to determine diagnosis and treatment.

  • Institute for Learning and Academic Achievement: This team assesses learning difficulties, giftedness and the effects of brain injury through neuropsychological, psychological and psychoeducational evaluations.

  • School-Based Consultation Service: This team of clinicians offers observations of a child in the classroom during the assessment and can work with school personnel during treatment.

  • Early Childhood Autism and Communication Disorders Program: This team evaluates young children who may have symptoms of Autism Spectrum Disorder.

With accessible locations in Manhattan, New Jersey and on Long Island, the Child Study Center offers a full range of services from evaluation to treatment, with extended hours throughout the week.
