New NYU Child Study Center Facility to Open in New Jersey
The NYU Child Study Center New Jersey will open on May 15, 2008 in Bergen County. The state-of-the-art facility will extend our premier assessment and science-based treatment services to the children, teens, and families in the area who need help with psychiatric and learning disorders. Like our other locations, the new center is staffed by expert clinicians who are trained in the latest treatment therapies with access to up-to-the-minute research. These clinicians are drawn from the prestigious ranks of NYU School of Medicine’s faculty and NYU CSC’s partner institutions, Rockland Children's Psychiatric Center and the Nathan S. Kline Institute for Psychiatric Research (NKI).
Senator Hillary Clinton Presents Child Advocacy Award to Brooke Garber Neidich at 10th Anniversary Gala
The Tenth Annual Child Advocacy Award Dinner was held on Tuesday, December 4 at Cipriani 42nd Street. Led by CSC Board members Michael Recanati and Ira Statfeld, this year's dinner honored Brooke Garber Neidich, the founding chair of the Child Study Center. The Child Advocacy Award was presented by Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, the first recipient of the Award and the evening's program was hosted by Katie Couric. Oscar-nominated director Nathaniel Kahn presented two short films, The First Ten Years and Harold and the Boys, created especially for this event. Catherine Lord, Ph.D., Appointed Interim Director of the NYU Child Study Center Asperger Institute
The NYU Child Study Center is pleased to announce that Catherine Lord, Ph.D., has been appointed interim Director of the recently established Asperger Institute. Dr. Lord will provide strategic direction and oversight of the Institute, with goals of improving diagnosis and treatments, developing clinical and education models for children and adolescents with Asperger Syndrome, and establishing a research program.
