New York University-Bellevue Hospital Center Clinical Psychology Internship Program
Child and Adolescent Specialty Track
Funded by the New York University Child Study Center, specialized training in assessment, treatment and research in child and adolescent psychology is now available to highly qualified doctoral students in clinical psychology under the auspices of the NYU-Bellevue Clinical Psychology Internship Program. The Child and Adolescent Specialty Track accepted its inaugural class of three interns for the 1997-1998 academic year. The NYU-Bellevue Internship Program is approved by the American Psychological Association. With approximately eighty applicants for three positions, this program has already become among the most selective in the country, enjoying a growing reputation for providing state-of-the-art training and experience in child and adolescent psychology and psychiatry.
Interns are supervised and mentored by faculty of the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and serve on the clinical staffs of both the Child Study Center and Bellevue Hospital. In addition to diverse clinical experience with inpatients and outpatients from both sites, and opportunities to specialize in focused, research based treatment modalities and assessment techniques, interns are also provided with a rich and extensive didactic program to augment the practical training.
